Position Summary:
The Construction Estimator will be responsible for accurately estimating the costs and materials needed for a variety of construction projects. You will work closely with subcontractors, general contractors, and internal teams to ensure projects are bid accurately and competitively.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze construction drawings and specifications to prepare accurate quantity takeoffs and cost estimates
Utilize PlanSwift and Bluebeam for digital estimating and project review
Communicate effectively with subcontractors and general contractors to gather pricing and scope details
Evaluate construction methods and best practices specific to Utah regulations and codes
Review project plans and specifications for consistency, constructability, and completeness
Manage multiple estimates and deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail throughout the bidding process
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Full-time availability
Proficient with PlanSwift and Bluebeam software
Strong communication skills with both subcontractors and general contractors
In-depth knowledge of Utah construction best practices and code compliance
Exceptional attention to detail in reviewing plans and estimating costs
Ability to stay organized and efficient under pressure
Preferred Qualifications:
Bilingual – English and Spanish (Highly Preferred)
Previous experience estimating for residential, commercial, or mixed-use construction projects
